Accomplished published writers in the English department offer courses in creative writing, screenwriting, advanced creative writing in fiction and in poetry, environmental writing, creative nonfiction, and new media. A literary magazine, open mics, readings, an imaginative-writing room, writing competitions, and meetings with visiting writers also help student writers develop their creativity.
